N’ awlins style

This old southern New Orleans home is charming and full of character. The home owners wanted a warm colour scheme, and it had to be bold. It was previously all white and blah.

Orange was the perfect fit, so we chose “Firenze AF-225 for the siding and brick.  The stairs and front door were re-painted in a complementary teal “Avalon Teal CSP-645“. We used a nice creamy off white “Collectors Item AF-45” for the columns and trim.

The ceilings of many porches in the southern states are painted a soft blue like the sky. We used “Blue Seafoam 2056-60“.  It is said to prevent bees from creating nests by the ceiling.  Visually it opens up the space as well.
